I like the remote too. What color will the remote "console" be?

It will be matched to the factory metallic silver finish that comes stock.

Alright, i've made some progress lately. I just finished tackling the 7's in the floor. I got brave and cut out some metal to access the huge cavity that was lurking beneath.

I knew i wanted to run the drivers IB, but i was hesitant about putting vents in the floor of the car. So i decided to vent them into the frame rails instead. The finished pods stick out just a tad more than the stock floor did, and should blend in real well once i put the carpet back in.

I rewired my temporary setup so i could listen and man what a difference! Man do these speakers sound great! Night and day difference from the door locations.

So, now i'm working on my sub setup. Originally, i was going to do the subs on the rear deck. Well, there were too many issues with making them work there, and time is my enemy now, so i changed things up a bit.
I am doing the more typical setup with the subs firing through the rear seat. Here is the basic framing for the sub baffle. I say baffle because i am using an IB setup for the subs. I'll see what kind of results i get out of this setup, but i may end up changing the trunk setup after Daytona.

That's all for now, i'll keep you posted on the trunk setup shortly. My goal is to squeeze everything in there and keep the full size spare.

wonder if my Lexus has this as this is the only way to put the L6 in my car and keep the factory look to it.

I'm pretty sure most of them have it, including your LEX. I've never specifically looked for it in an IS, but i'm sure there's one of some sort there. Maybe Jeff can tell you?

They absolutely do mang! I'm breaking them in now but i'm very impressed with the sound. Yeah i got real lucky with finding that space, i guess the car gods were on my side with this one LOL.

Well, i got some more work done in the trunk. After much brainstorming, i found out how i was going to mount the amps and keep my spare. I wanted to make them fairly accessible for tuning, so i ended up making some modular pieces which will bolt into the car.

Image

Here's how they look in the car. It's a little tight by the trunk bars but i think i can make it work.

Image

The baffle for the sub box was worked on as well. I wanted to do something a little cooler looking than a flat faced box, so i came up with this. I hate boxy trunks, i like everything to have a nice flow to it.

I should be finishing the sub baffle and doin some glassin today if all goes well.
